Natural history groups in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes
Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT)
BBOWT manage a number of nature reserves, monitor species and run special projects to support declining species such as water voles, or threatened habitats such as chalk grassland.
The group focus on learning how to identify fungi and recognise the commoner species in the field. They run informal, family friendly walks in the countryside.
The Buckinghamshire Invertebrate Group (BIG) studies and records insects and other invertebrates in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. They organise field trips, indoor meetings and training events.
North Bucks Bat Group (NBBG) exists to promote bat conservation in Aylesbury Vale, Milton Keynes and the Chiltern Hills through recording, monitoring, educational work, practical conservation and by advising the public.
